Chelsea’s defender Malang Sarr is reportedly considering a departure from Mauricio Pochettino’s team, with La Liga’s Sevilla expressing interest in acquiring him.
OK Fichajes reports Sevilla’s keenness on securing Sarr from Chelsea in 2024. Discussions have included the possibility of an initial loan arrangement, followed by a purchase option set at €10 million.
Sarr, who joined Chelsea in 2020 on a free transfer, has struggled to establish a consistent role within the club’s starting lineup. Loan spells at FC Porto and AS Monaco followed, leading to limited senior appearances, totaling just 21 for the Blues.
Despite the 24-year-old’s return, he has yet to feature under Chelsea’s current manager, Mauricio Pochettino, indicating a lack of inclusion in the Argentine’s plans.
Sarr’s potential move to Sevilla reflects a desire for more playing time and a fresh opportunity to showcase his talents in a different league.
